This is the kickoff post of this new adventure in creativity, and as I look out over the Savannah skyline from our loft I feel the warmth of the sun filling my heart with joy and ambition. Over the past two years myself and my husband Charles have been enamored by the beauty of Savannah, and all that it offers. This town is changing and evolving right before our eyes, and it feels as though it's entering a new era.
We came to Savannah in the middle of the pandemic from New York / Connecticut when the shutdowns turned our successful business and our lives completely upside down. Rather than sitting back and taking it, we decided to take charge of our destiny. We sold our dream home of 16 years along with nearly everything we own and drove south in search of a place to rebuild.
We had never been to Savannah before but all it took was a long weekend for us to realize we had stumbled upon a very special place. We are both full time artists. We are International award winning photographers and video creators, Charles is a fine art painter, and a musician to boot so we were seeking a place that offered inspiration.
With its kind folks, treelined squares, great restaurants, and a charm that seems to be evolving with each passing day Savannah is brimming with inspiration! However, as we researched the web for topics related to Savannah, it’s history, culture, art scene, things to do, and more we noticed that there really wasn’t an online magazine that represtened the city the way we were experiencing it. Savannah has so much to offer, and our goal moving forward is to bring this city to life in a way that it hasn’t been done before.
