As an artist, and a bit of a Renaissance Man, and Savannah excites me. Every time I walk out my door I see another story that deserves to be told. I’m a storytelling photographer and filmmaker yes, but also a fine art painter, and a gigging musician. This work at the intersections of the art forms allows me to cross paths with a lot of interesting, thoughtful, and creative people. What I have learned about Savannah is that it’s more than a city… Savannah is a community! If there ever was an art and music scene waiting to explode then I believe Savannah is on the verge. Folks here aren’t selfish either, I’ve seen a lot of kind folks helping those in need. This is all part of what moved me to want to document the area, but also to devote my own time and talents to shining a light on the talents and good will of others. My vision for Savannah Proper is to create an open and inclusive magazine that brings us all closer together.
